We present an analytical model which predicts the statistical properties of nonlinear interference noise (NLIN) in fiber links which are affected by polarization dependent loss (PDL). The model enables to investigate many PDL scenarios in a computationally efficient way, reducing the need to run costly split-step Fourier simulations.
